C2HR Surveys Reveal Pandemic's Uneven Impact on Pay 

For more than 25 years, C2HR has identified industry-specific benchmarks and pay trends through our Annual Compensation Surveys. Fifty-four (54) companies submitted data reflecting 2021 budgets, base compensation figures, bonuses and incentives to provide an in-depth analysis of pay practices for roughly 127,829 connectivity employees and 28,813 content workers, including both exempt and nonexempt positions ranging from technicians to top executives. The data found connectivity employees, frontline workers and programming talent reaped the greatest rewards.

Getting to Know C2HR's New Executive Director Parthavi Das

On January 1, long-time industry leader Parthavi (pronounced Par-the-vee) Das stepped into the role of Executive Director for C2HR. While she’s been hard at work at C2HR for more than three years as a senior director, you might remember her from her 18-year tenure at WICT. At the women’s empowerment organization, Parthavi was a diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) advocate who managed the WICT PAR (Pay Equity, Advancement Opportunities, and Resources for Work/Life Integration) Study. She was the chief of staff at WICT and an integral part of the women’s organization from 1996-2015. Parthavi is also a Class 13 graduate of the Betsy Magness Leadership Institute (BMLI).

We’re pleased to announce our 2022 Executive Committee, including three board members who will serve another term in their leadership roles: President Dave Crossen, SVP of HR for NBC Broadcasting & Content Distribution; Vice President Julie Neimat, EVP of Employee Experience and HR Operations for Discovery Inc. and Secretary Sandy Gunn, SVP of HR for Comcast Advertising. Kara Anderson, VP of Compensation for Disney Media & Entertainment Distribution was appointed treasurer. Judy Mills, Group VP of HR for Mediacom Communications, and Kia Painter, SVP of HR Business Partnership for Cox Communications, will also serve on the executive committee.

She takes over for Chief Transformation & People Officer Jennifer Caserta, who departed the company after nearly 20 years. Aisha joined AMC Networks in late 2020 as its first Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) Officer. Her new role includes oversight of people and culture strategy, including global talent acquisition, leadership development and compensation and benefits. Congratulations, Aisha!

Diane takes the helm after her longtime colleague, Jana Henthorn, retired in December. Christman and Henthorn co-architected The Cable Center’s Vision 2025 strategic planning initiative that will shape the organization’s offerings in support of innovation and intrapreneurship, symposia, and thought leadership. C2HR looks forward to collaborating with Diane and The Cable Center team!

Charter Communications has doubled its investment in the Spectrum Scholars program. The company also announced it will make the scholarship and internship program annual as opposed to biannual. 

WOW! made a $15,000 donation to the American Red Cross to support communities impacted by the tornadoes that touched down in six states in December.
