C2HR Invites Industry Employers to Participate in the 2023 C2HR Compensation Surveys
NAPERVILLE, ILL., March 1, 2023 — The Content & Connectivity Human Resources Association
(C2HR) invites industry employers to participate in its 21st annual Compensation Surveys. The
2023 results are especially critical, as they can help employers navigate compensation changes
in an environment of unfolding, volatile labor conditions, economic uncertainty and competition
for emerging skill sets.
“By providing industry-specific benchmarks, C2HR Annual Compensation Surveys help employers
craft competitive and equitable compensation packages that leverage a broad range of
compensations tools,” said Parthavi Das, executive director of C2HR.
C2HR’s survey results provide an industry-specific, in-depth analysis of pay practices for more
than 160,694* incumbents, including both exempt and nonexempt positions ranging from
technicians to top executives. The surveys are the among the most robust in the industry and
capture the bulk of jobs; the 2022 surveys captured data from 14 connectivity providers and 42
content developers.
Participants submit data reflecting 2023 budgets for base salaries, short-term and long-term
incentive plans, and sales compensation. The surveys and their findings are separated into two
participant categories: connectivity providers (multiple system operators [MSOs], satellite,
telecommunications and home security companies) and content developers (digital content
creators, cable programmers and broadcast networks). The 2023 Connectivity Provider Survey
includes 607 job titles, and the 2023 Content Developer Survey includes 770 job titles.
“The C2HR Compensation Surveys offer valuable industry-specific insights that help us identify
trends in pay for individual roles or particular skillsets as our industry continues to evolve,” said
Nick Dunlap, vice president, executive compensation, Charter Communications.
Data for the 2023 surveys is due in late April. Survey results are delivered in September via a
secure online data portal that allows for customizable Excel spreadsheets and presentation-ready
reports for every position. Survey participants receive tools for analysis, including paired
comparison and title-matched reports. For executive compensation data, participants also
receive a regression analyses by revenue and subscribers.
Given the highly confidential survey data, the results from any given company cannot be seen.
Only summary information pertaining to all participants is available. This reporting approach
complies with Federal Trade Commission (FTC) regulation and encourages participation without
fear of exposing proprietary information to the public. C2HR has commissioned the Croner
Company to collect and analyze the data and identify industry trends and benchmarks.
