A Retrospective on HR’s Resilience in 2020

COVID silver linings. That’s the term that Cox Communications EVP and Chief People Officer Karen Bennett uses to describe the positive outcomes that came from a year filled with a pandemic, police violence and political unrest. Karen’s phrase has continued to resonate since we first heard it during last week’s C2HR webinar (available on YouTube). This issue of HR Pulse is dedicated to celebrating the silver linings across the C2HR community.

Human resources professionals and their companies responded to the great challenges of 2020 with resilience, agility, empathy and grace, and we are proud of what industry employers collectively accomplished. The stories below provide a snapshot of what was achieved by C2HR’s 50+ member companies. The articles are both a source of inspiration and a blueprint for best practices on social justice, DEI, business continuity, corporate social responsibility, and caring for employees during a global health crisis.
