C2HR Board Member Leslie Peabody (above left) was promoted to Chief People Officer for WOW! Internet, Cable & Phone. Leslie succeeds David Brunick, Chief Human Resources Officer, who will be leaving the company in the second quarter of 2023 and will be available as an advisor as needed through a transition period. David built the human resources department and led WOW! to five national Best and Brightest Company to Work For awards. Leslie brings more than 15 years of senior human resource experience, including more than 5 years with WOW!, most recently as Senior Vice President of HR Operations. Congratulations, Leslie!

Sonia Coleman (above center) has been promoted to Senior EVP and Chief Human Resources Officer at Disney, effective April 18. “Sonia is widely respected across the company as a gifted leader and strong advocate for our employees,” said CEO Bob Iger. “Her proven expertise leading the human resources function for our general entertainment businesses and ESPN during a period of unprecedented transformation makes her the perfect choice to lead this function company-wide as we implement our new operating structure and position Disney to capitalize on the opportunities ahead.” 

With 46 years of experience in the cable industry, Italia Commisso Weinand, EVP of Programming and HR for Mediacom, has been named a 2023 inductee into the Cable Hall of Fame. Italia, we applaud your achievements and this well-deserved honor.

Comcast NBCUniversal named Mona Dexter (above right) its VP of Military & Veteran Affairs, replacing the recently retired Carol Eggert. Dexter will oversee military hiring, inclusivity programs and initiatives engaging military customers and communities. She joins Comcast NBCU from the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Foundation Hiring Our Heroes.
