MICHELE PARKS NAMED 2020 PRESIDENT OF C2HR

On January 1, Cox Communications' Vice President of HR Service Delivery, Michele Parks, took the helm of C2HR and will lead the organization in 2020. Michele is a longtime Board Member, two-time Chair of the HR Symposium, and was a speaker at the 2019 C2HR Conference. Joining Michele on the Executive Committee are four dedicated officers. Congratulations to Bill Strahan, EVP of HR at Comcast, for being named Chairman of the Board for the Emma Bowen Foundation (EBF)!  

C2HR applauds the companies from our membership community who were named by NAMIC as the Top Companies for People of Color: Charter, Comcast, Cox, Mediacom, AMC Networks, NBCUniversal and ViacomCBS.

C2HR Board Member Katherine Barnett, SVP of HR at Hearst Television, was named to the Emma Bowen Foundation Board of Directors.  

Marva Smalls was promoted to EVP of Global Head of Inclusion for ViacomCBS. 

Nancy Phillips joined ViacomCBS as EVP, Chief People Officer. Nancy previously served as CHRO for Nielsen. 

Carolyn Connolly was named SVP of HR for CBS Television Stations. Connolly was SVP of HR at Simon & Schuster for the past 12 years.

Comcast named Christopher Smith, formerly of Indiana utility NiSource, as VP of HR for the company’s Western New England region.
