C2HR CON Dedicates Day to Uplift, Inspire and
Connect HR Professionals
NAPERVILLE, ILL., October 26, 2020 —When the pandemic broke in the United States, human resources professionals across our industry immediately responded by implementing policies, establishing practices and creating resources to ensure the safety and well-being of 2.9 million employees. Given their dedication and resilience, C2HR will host “For You Friday” on November 13 during the C2HR CONference.
“For You Friday will help our community of members end the work week on a high note with a variety of networking, wellness and inspirational sessions,” shared Pamela Williams, CAE, executive director for C2HR.
Coffee & Conversations with the CHROS
For You Friday will begin at 10:00 a.m. ET with a dynamic dialog about the current state of HR and what’s ahead for 2021. Moderated by C2HR Board Member Chris Powell, CEO of Talmetrix, participants will have the opportunity to engage with Karen Gray, EVP of HR for A+E Networks, Paul Marchand, EVP of HR for Charter Communications and Bill Strahan, EVP of HR for Comcast.
Decompressing in a Time of Disruption
As humans we are wired to deal with some stress, but what happens to our bodies when we’re faced with unprecedented levels of fear, uncertainty and anxiety? Dr. Omar Dawood, Chief Medical Officer for Calm and stage IV cancer survivor, will identify the pathophysiology of how our bodies deal with stress and share coping mechanisms, mindfulness exercises and resilience techniques that HR professionals can put to work to manage whatever life throws their way.
Climbing the HR Ladder: Stories of Success
Two rising stars within the HR community will host a fireside chat with attendees. Christine Calandros, senior director of recruiting at Charter Communications, and Jennifer Znaniecki, senior director of learning and development at Mediacom Communications, will share their inspiring journeys, share their secrets of success and field career questions from the audience.
Parenting in the Pandemic
A trio of HR leaders will share the challenges they’ve faced and lessons they’ve learned as parents balancing childcare, e-learning and work from home and lessons learned. Maria Arias, principal of Arias Solutions, will guide the discussion among Kara Anderson, VP of Compensation for ESPN, Angela Auz, VP of HR for Univision Communications and Dave Crossen, SVP of HR for NBC Universal.
Networking Groups
Attendees will engage with colleagues from across the country during five interactive video discussions. Each will be focused on a key HR topic: employee engagement, analytics, DEIJ, recruiting, learning and development.
More than 400 human resources professionals from the technology, media and entertainment industry will participate in the C2HR CON. Details about the event and online registration are at www.C2HRCON.org.
